This is the jaw-dropping moment a fearless police motorcyclist shoots at a stolen car while riding his bike one-handed during a high speed chase.
The officer can be seen firing his pistol at the vehicle during a pursuit on the R80 highway in Soshanguve, near Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa, last month.
A police helicopter flies just metres above the ground as it follows the stolen Nissan 1400 pickup truck in the unbelievable video.
In the helmet camera footage, officers rake the fleeing car with gunfire before the driver eventually pulls over.
The police motorcyclist then stops his bike and fires bullets into the front offside tyre of the Nissan.
The driver finally gets out of the vehicle and dives to the ground, while officers surround him with their weapons at the ready.
A video of the chase has almost 1.3 million views on YouTube, with many viewers comparing it to a film or the game Grand Theft Auto.
It comes after a string of hijackings in Gauteng, with two suspects shot dead last month and two of their alleged accomplices injured in a police shootout.
According to The Citizen, a South African Police Service spokesman said: “Members of Gauteng Specific Crime Trio Team had been following and keeping close observation on the suspects when they spotted the suspects in Centurion driving a black BMW 135i.
“Police intercepted the suspects’ vehicle and the suspects allegedly started firing shots at the police, who then returned fire.
“Two suspects were killed while the other two were taken to hospital under police guard.”
Officers seized two rifles, a pistol and a stolen vehicle, with the two surviving suspects now facing charges for attempted murder, hijacking and unlicensed firearms and ammunition.
